Habitat |

There's the story of the wit who was being shown an English country estate with its manicured lawns, formal gardens, box hedges, parks and stands of great English oaks. He remarked, "Just shows what Mother Nature could have done if she'd had the money." We have not second-guessed Mother Nature here, but we have worked with her. We have used what she provided to create ideal hunting habitat. We planted dense native prairie grass and feed strips which provide food, cover and protection for game birds. Field perimeters are brush thickets, low, tangled growth, and beyond that it is second growth timber, wetlands and stands of mature trees. |
